Tacos are a weekly staple in our house, but the past few months we have been trying to find a clean alternative to the regular store bought seasoning we used to use. This has been such a great recipe, we will never use the store bought taco seasoning again!
Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and store in an airtight container. We use this recipe for about two pounds of beef; so if you were to make this in bulk we use about two tablespoons of seasoning for every pound of meat. We like using Weck Jars for storing all of our bulk seasonings. The small tulip jar works perfectly for keeping seasonings fresh.
